We’d like to share with you all the wedding of Francesca and Hayden, at Leicester Cathedral. The cathedral itself is absolutely gorgeous and we’d been looking forward to it from the moment this lovely couple booked us.

We arrived at the cathedral, and although the weather was wet, we knew the cathedral would make for an incredible backdrop to the pictures we would be taking. We began the day at St Martin’s Lodge, a Grade II Listed building which has been renovated into gorgeous accommodation right opposite the cathedral. Our bride, groom and their families were all here getting ready for the day ahead.

Francesca’s room was filled with her mum and bridesmaids and the buzz of them all getting themselves ready. Of course, they all had time to break away from the mirrors for a lovely glass of fizz to toast to Francesca and Hayden’s future. The bridesmaids dispersed while Francesca put on her dress. We were very lucky to be able to share a lovely moment between Francesca and her mum, while she helped her daughter with the finishing touches; a set of beautiful floral hairpins which Francesca’s mum had worn on her own wedding day. Needless to say it was a stunning touch and we absolutely loved the sentimentality. Once ready, her bridesmaids joined her once more, and saw her dress for the first time. She looked beautiful and you could tell that they thought so too!

While allowing Francesca a few moments to relax, we met up with Hayden and his groomsmen as they were pinning on their floral buttonholes – well, with a lot of help from Grandma!

As if with divine intervention, the rain stopped just as we all began to make our way over to the cathedral. The ceremony was lovely, and there were plenty of tears (of joy of course!).

The wedding breakfast and reception was held in St Martin’s House. The venue’s staff were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. And the room looked incredible with lots of personal touches that Francesca and Hayden had put together themselves – including the cake!

Once they’d finished eating and had sobbed at the speeches (happy tears, again, thankfully!), we managed to sneak Francesca and Hayden outside once more, and were able to make the most of the sun trying her best to break through the clouds to get a few more photos of the two of them. Then, all that was left to do was party!! It was great to see everyone up on the dance floor enjoying themselves.

Francesca and Hayden are an absolutely wonderful couple, and we feel truly blessed to have been able to capture the moments of their special day. We wish them all the best for the future and that they continue to be as happy as they were on their big day.
